About us

P3 Physiotherapy is a boutique musculoskeletal and sports injury physiotherapy clinic in Manawatū, with clinics in Palmerston North and Feilding.

Founded by our Principal Physiotherapist Claire Maxwell in 2017, P3 Physiotherapy offers specialised treatment for people of all ages; covering pelvic health, physiotherapy, and sports performance.

Meet Claire

Claire is a registered Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand, an ACC accredited provider, and member of Physiotherapy New Zealand and two specialist interest groups - Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy New Zealand, and Pelvic Women's and Men's Health.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Science (HONS) Physiotherapy from the University of Huddersfield, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Science (Rehabilitation) from AUT. She is currently studying to become a registered Sports Physiotherapist.

To support her work in pelvic health, Claire has completed the following programmes of study.

  • WHTA 5 Day Women's Health Physiotherapy course

  • WHTA Advanced Bowel Disorders course

  • Sands Training course 'An Introduction to the Physiotherapy Management of Female Urinary Incontinence'

  • Training courses under Dr Jo Milios, a leading Australian Men's Health Physiotherapist.

Claire also has extensive experience in sports physiotherapy and has worked with sports teams in Australia and New Zealand

  • Gold Coast Titans & Mate Ma'a Tonga Rugby League teams

  • Manawatū U19s, Development & Women’s teams

  • Manawatū Men’s & Women’s 7s teams

  • Junior Black Sticks Selection camps

  • Feilding Yellows Rugby Club (5 seasons)

  • Linton Lions 7s team

  • And other individual sportspeople - triathletes, rowers, hockey, cricket and water polo players
