P3 Physiotherapy is a boutique musculoskeletal and sports injury physiotherapy clinic in central Palmerston North.

Founded by our Principal Physiotherapist Claire Maxwell in 2017, P3 Physiotherapy offers exceptional treatment for people of all ages; covering pelvic health, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and sports performance.

Meet Claire

 

Claire is a registered Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand, an ACC accredited provider, and member of Physiotherapy New Zealand and two specialist interest groups - Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy New Zealand, and Pelvic Women's and Men's Health.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Science (HONS) Physiotherapy from the University of Huddersfield, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Health Science (Rehabilitation) from AUT. She is currently studying to become a registered Sports Physiotherapist.

To support her work in pelvic health, Claire has completed the following programmes of study.

  • WHTA 5 Day Women's Health Physiotherapy course

  • WHTA Advanced Bowel Disorders course

  • Sands Training course 'An Introduction to the Physiotherapy Management of Female Urinary Incontinence'

  • Training courses under Dr Jo Milios, a leading Australian Men's Health Physiotherapist.

Claire also has extensive experience in sports physiotherapy and has worked with sports teams in Australia and New Zealand

  • Gold Coast Titans & Mate Ma'a Tonga Rugby League teams

  • Manawatū U19s, Development & Women’s teams

  • Manawatū Men’s & Women’s 7s teams

  • Junior Black Sticks Selection camps

  • Feilding Yellows Rugby Club (5 seasons)

  • And other individual sportspeople - dressage riders, triathletes, rowers, hockey, cricket and water polo players

Meet Karmin

 

With over 15 years of experience in both hospital and private practice, Karmin brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and compassion to her work. A graduate of Otago University in 2009, she has since expanded her expertise with a Postgraduate Certificate in Acupuncture through AUT in 2013 and is currently developing her skills in pelvic floor physiotherapy.

Her diverse career includes extensive work in vocational assessment and rehabilitation, community services, and supporting sports teams and tournaments. As a qualified yoga instructor, she integrates movement, breath, and mindfulness into her physiotherapy practice, ensuring a holistic approach to care. 

Meet Yashvi

 

Yashvi, a graduate of the Fiji National University in 2023, is passionate about helping people move better and recover stronger. She loves creating treatment plans that fit each person's individual lifestyle and is eager to continue her professional development. Outside the clinic, Yashvi is enjoying exploring new places & spending time with family. She has also started her journey in sideline sports physiotherapy with the Manawatū Pasifika team.

Meet Trish

 

Trish is the friendly and efficient virtual office manager at P3 Physiotherapy, the go-to person for every email and phone call for both new and existing clients. She’s been an essential part of our team since May 2024.

With nearly 20 years experience as an Executive Assistant in the corporate world — both in New Zealand and Ireland—Trish took a leap in 2018 to start her own administration company and hasn’t looked back since. Trish brings a wealth of experience in managing schedules, ensuring seamless communication and providing exceptional support. As our Virtual Office Manager, she’s dedicated to making your experience as smooth and stress free as possible.
